The Use of Cement Mortar Can Be More Effective and Efficient In This Way
By PT JAYABRIX INDONESIA
Building a house in a dense settlement is a challenge in itself. Especially when our land is in a narrow alley. It requires careful planning and is different from building a house in a sparsely populated area. There are several things that need to be considered so that we don't have to spend more when building a house in a narrow alley.
Too Many Workers Are Ineffective
Many think that the more workers, the faster the process of building a house. This does not apply when you want to build a house in a narrow alley. This is because a relatively limited work area will actually make development ineffective if it employs too many people. Based on our experience, a maximum of 5 workers is enough to build a house in a narrow alley.
So, if there are fewer workers, the time needed will be longer, right? Even though the longer the construction process, the longer the neighbors feel disturbed.
Don't Take Too Long, Later Neighbors Can Get Angry
It is true that the longer the construction process takes, the longer it will take the neighbors to feel disturbed by our house construction activities. For this reason, we must pay close attention to the length of time for this development. Development must be planned as effectively as possible. It's a good idea to let the neighbors know how long the construction will take.
In addition, also use materials that can shorten processing time. For example using light bricks. Light brick has a much larger size compared to red brick. For comparison, for a 1 m2 wall, approximately 80 red bricks are needed. Meanwhile, if you use light bricks, just 8 pieces are enough. This is because the size of the light brick reaches 600 x 100 x 200 mm, while the red brick is only 240 x 40 mm.
In terms of how to install it, lightweight bricks only use instant cement with a thickness of approximately 3mm as the adhesive. Whereas lightweight bricks must use a mixture of cement and sifted sand which takes time to mix. Likewise, the process of plastering walls with lightweight bricks is faster and easier.
The faster the process is done, we can not only prevent neighbors from getting angry but also save costs.
Use Materials that Don't Eat Too Much Storage Space
Because the location of the house construction is in a narrow alley, the storage space for materials during the construction process is also limited. Don't let the pile of building materials interfere with the activities of your neighbors.
For that, use materials that don't take up too much space during storage. For example, by using lightweight bricks, we don't need to buy too much sand. This is because it is enough to install light bricks using instant cement, you don't need sand like when installing red bricks.
Moreover, sand often requires a large enough place to put it. In contrast to lightweight bricks that can be stacked upwards. If you are afraid of collapsing or breaking, use Jaya Brix lightweight bricks. Jaya Brix lightweight bricks are produced with precise dimensions and quality. So there is no need to fear damage when stored before installation. In addition, the price of Jaya Brix's lightweight bricks is economical but of premium quality and tested for strength.
That way, we can build a house in a narrow alley without disturbing the neighbors and can still save costs.
